First made-in-India 28nm chips ship from Gujarat fab

The first commercial batch of 28nm chips shipped from Gujarat this week, power-management silicon headed into Indian-made cars and meters. It's mature-node, not cutting edge, but it breaks a psychological barrier: India now fabricates, not just designs. Two more fabs break ground before Diwali.
